Document Description
SAA #1600-2010-0294-3 Repair of a damaged culvert that collapsed unexpectedly, creating a sinkhole approximately 130 feet long, 30 to 50 feet in width, and approximately 30 feet in depth and requiring closure of the Via Verdi roadway. Work will consist of excavation of the damaged culvert and surrounding soils, construction of approximately 160 linear feet of vertical retaining wall on each bank, to be supported by drilled steel piles and tie-backs anchored to the banks, construction of a new concrete headwall, and stabilization of the upper banks with erosion control blankets and riprap.
