Document Description
This project consists of removing and disposing of approximately 1,000 sq ft of hardscape which consists of asphalt (AC) overlay with Portland cement (PCC) concrete paving the location is a pathway & courtyard area between the Fiesta De Reyes and the Cosmopolitan Hote/Restaurant located in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. The removal depth shall be no more than required to lift the existing conglomerate concrete section which is approximately 4" thick and varies. The removal area shall be resurfaced with non-colorized reinforced PCC. If colorized it will likely be a "brick" red hue. The existing surface is in various states of disrepair including popping of PCC, cracking AC, surface depressions and lifting, and other surface irregularities which impairs its sue as a path of travel.
DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.

Reasons for Exemption
No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated in compliance with Section 15300.2. A resource ecologist will ensure avoidance of significant impacts to natural resources. An archeologist will ensure avoidance of significant impacts to cultural resources. Project does not involve of healthy, mature, scenic trees (class 4). Project is limited to maintenance, repair, stabilization, rehabilitation, restoration, preservations, conservation or reconstruction of historical resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (class 31).
