Document Description
The proposed project consists of the replacement of a railroad crossing with a roadway grade separation. The separation will be a roadway viaduct over the railway, 31 feet above the original grade. Exiting storm drain system infrastructure that will be displaced by the project will be replaced. The purpose of the action is to improve safety and commerce. The beneficiaries of the project are the public though this public safety measure.

Reasons for Exemption
The viaduct and new related infrastructure will have substantially the same capacity and purpose as the existing at-grade railroad crossing and related infrastructure, and will occupy the same location as all infrastructure to be replaced. Therefore, the Project will not result in significant environmental impacts.
