Document Description
The Lancaster Road Side Channel and Floodplain Restoration Project consists of floodplain and channel modifications that are designed to improve habitat for special status salmonid species. Currently, the project area consists of a remnant side channel and alluvial bar that are generally disconnected from the main river channel during most of the year. The proposed project will lower the elevation of the side channel allowing it to flow more frequently. Additionally, three cross-channels will be created on the existing alluvial bar to connect the side channel and floodplain to the main river channel. The project will enhance 0.792 acre of waters of the United States.
