Document Description
Emergency Permit to California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDFFP) to treat hazardous waste by burning. The hazardous waste to be treated consists of approximately 20,000 pounds of fireworks (Department of Transportation Hazard Class 1.4) in the current inventory of CDFFP, as well as additional fireworks which may be generated during the effective period of this emergency permit. The items were seized by the CDFFP during multiple seizure actions and are illegal for sale in California. The emergency permit is effective from August 17, 2010 through November 12, 2010. Treatment will be scheduled depending on weather, logistics, and avilablility of personnel.
