Document Description
Repair a 20 foot section of the end of the storm-damaged wooden staircase at the Leffingwell Landing northern day-use parking area at Hearst San Simeon State Park to restore public access to the beach. Work will:
* Replace up to 15 cubic yards of sand and soil that was washed out from the footing of the stair case to repair erosion damage and shore up the footing, using local sand from the site.
* Replace approximately 40 stairway treads and risers with pressure treated lumber with dimensions up to 5 feet in length 8 inches in width, and 1 inch thick.
