Document Description
Remove colonies of invasive non-native plants, including ice plant (Carpobrotus edulis), Scotch broom (Cytisus scoparius), and Armenian blackberry (Rubus armeniacus) from the coastal terrace and perched dunes at MacKerricher State Park to maintain native vegetation and rare plant communities. Pull plants out by hand; remove plants with small mechanical equipment; burn plants in piled or in place with weed torch, and spray herbicide on individual plants. Re-vegetate bare soil areas with locally collected seed and transplants.
