Document Description
This is a habitat restoration project for native amphibians identified and approved in CA Dept. of Fish and Game Aquatic Biodiversity Management Plans. Fish and Game will remove non-native trout populations in selected waters by netting and electrofishing and reintroduce Sierra Nevada mountain yellow-legged frogs (Rana sierrae) into fishless habitats. Aquatic species directly benefited include Sierra Nevada mountain yellow-legged frogs, Long-toed salamanders (Ambystoma macrodactylum) and Pacific treefrogs (Pseudacris regilla). Other native food web species will also benefit (i.e. birds, intertebrates, snakes.
