The SEZ would establish an economic development plan to provide quality employment opportunities for targeted individuals, increase per capital income, reduce unemployment, and encourage economic investment in distressed commercial and industrial areas. Enterprise zones provide a variety of state tax incentives to performance-based tax credits and incentives to enterprise zone businesses to enhance economic investment and job creation within the application area.
