Document Description
This proposed project involves decommissioning a maximum of 775 existing wind turbine generators and repowering by installing up to 48 new turbines at new pad sites. The project includes building new access roads, widening existing roads, constructing new laydown yards, installing roadside rock-lined ditches and underground electrical collector lines, installing meteorological towers, and improving related infrastructure. The project will result in total impacts to 255.4 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) and San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes macrotis mutica) habitat, including temporary impacts to 204.5 acres and permanent impacts to 50.9 acres of habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox, which are both designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of project implementation.
