Document Description
This proposed project involves installation of 13 new wind turbine generators (WTG) and possible removal of old turbine foundations where they conflict with the location of repowered Project components. The Project will result in impacts to 113.2 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense), San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes macrotis mutica), tricolored blackbird (Agelaius tricolor), and Swainson’s hawk (Buteo swainsoni) habitat including temporary impacts to 79.6 acres; the Project will permanently remove 33.6 acres of grassland habitat; and cause impacts to 0.032 acre of aquatic habitat for California tiger salamander. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, San Joaquin kit fox, tricolored blackbird, and Swainson’s hawk, which are designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
