Document Description
EBRPD would construct a 0.5-mile section of the San Francisco Bay Trail in Pinole Between Pinole Shores and Bay Front Park. The proposed project would extend an existing Class I non-motorized, paved trail from a hillside bluff across from Hazel Lane east over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks to connect to an existing path in Bay Front Park. The alignment would travel between the UPRR and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks for approximately 1,500 feet then continue with an elevated structure of approximately 1,100 feet crossing over the UPRR tracks. Construction of the proposed trail alignment would require earthwork, retaining walls, and installation of a grade-separated bridge over the railroad tracks.
