- SMUD purposes the Station A Network 1 Reconductor Project in order to upgrade and replace existing conduit and 12-Kilovolt electrical lines which connect with the substation, station A, to the 12-KV underground lines at the manhole at 7th and K Streets in downtown Sacramento, CA.

- Note: Final The purpose of the project would consist of installing approximately 1,850 linear feet of conduit in trenches, one 20- foot manhole/vault and three 8-foot by 14-foot manholes through of downtown Sacramento. The project route starts at station A (substation) at 6th and H streets, heads south on 6th Street, turns east on J Street, and then turns south on 7th Street to tie into manhole MH-760 by K Street. A cut-over will be constructed at the intersection of 7th and J streets that will intercept the existing conduits. This project would be constructed in three phases over a period of 165 days.
