The City of Fortuna Housing Element 2009-2014 adresses the projected housing needs of current and future City residents and comply with State law requiring amendment of the housing element every five years. The Housing Element identifies goals and measures that the City will implement to ensure that housing in Fortuna is affordable, safe, and decent. It addresses housing needs by ensuring the provision of an adequate quantity of site designated for housing (including affordable housing), by assisting in affordable housing development, and through the preservation and maintenance of existing affordable housing stock. No specific development projects are proposed as a part of the Element.
