Document Description
The proposed activities include retrofitting an exiting gabion wall by building a new concrete retaining wall in front of the toe of the gabion wall and restraining the new wall with grouted tie back anchors. Rock slope protection will be added on the slope upstream and downstream of the gabion wall. Rock will also be placed to create weirs within the channel of Marshall Creek. Installation of geotextile fabric will be placed on the slope prior to placement of the rock. The rock will then be backfilled with native streambed material and re-vegetated. Two four-inch storm drain lines will collect runoff from the roof downspouts and convey flow to protected pipe outlets at the upstream and downstream ends of the bank stabilization measures. Marshall Creek will be dewatered and diverted around the project site. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0296-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Arthur Cody.
