NOTES: Response to Comments Caltrans proposes to realign the existing roadway near the intersection of Gifford Rancho Road and Route 166 in San Luis Obispo County to meet current horizontal curve standards and improve stopping sight distance. Shoulder and centerline rumble strips would be added through the project limits. The old Gifford Creek Bridge would be demolished and a new one constructed along the new alignment. The project would be purchasing 1.82 acres of new right-of-way for construction of the new curve realignment.
