Document Description
The proposed project includes the following: 1) expand the existing 232-acre LA Harbor Industrial Center Redevelopment Project Area by an additional 2,487 acres, for a total of approximately 2,719 acres; 2) expand the power of eminent domain in existing redevelopment area to 2017; 3) establish the effective period of the Redevelopment Plan for 30 years from the newly established base year for the proposed expansion area; 4) amend the land use provisions and map to conform to the Wilmington/Harbor City Community Plan and change the development controls in the existing Redevelopment Plan accordingly; and 5) potentially implement targeted zone changes. The proposed project could allow for up to 8,060 residential units, 14,058,000 sf of commercial development, and 30,500,000 sf of industrial development over existing conditions.
