The project involves abandonment of existing water main pipeline replacement with new water main pipeline and in approximately the same locations. Approximately 11,790 linear feet of existing undersized and deteriorated water mains and associated appurtenances will be abandoned and replaced with net 12" and 16" diameter water mains and appurtenances. The project will require excavation of a trench to at least 4' to 5' below grade for the majority of the length of the pipeline. After installation, trenches will be backfilled and pavement restored or replaced. The project is located within the public right-of-way along Foothill Boulevard (State Route 66) between Bradford St. and Towne Ave; along Towne Ave. beginning at Foothill and extending 540' north; and beginning at Foothill extending north along Garey Ave. approximately 520'.
