Document Description
The Orange County Vector Control District, approved a final programmatic EIR/EIS for its integrated Vector Management Practices in November 2012. Recent outbreaks in Orange County of West Nile Virus and establishment of three invasive mosquito species known as vectors of dengue, Zika and chikungunya viruses, has prompted the District to increase aerial spraying efforts to control adult mosquitos and to add several new chemical and biological products to control adult and juvenile mosquitoes. This Supplemental to the Final PEIR has been prepared to cover the environmental review of these additional activities of the District and the minor changes to the program analyzed by the Final PEIR accepted in 2012.
