The California Army National Guard (CAARNG) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to address the potential environmental impacts associated with the soil erosion stabilization project north of the Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site (MATES) facility located at Camp Roberts in East Garrison, California. The project would (1) construct a functional and easily maintained erosion control system including riprap and grading to stabilize the extensive soil erosion, and (2) to remove accumulated sediment from the two affected culverts. The Proposed Action also includes periodic maintenance of the culverts in order to protect the integrity of the road and railway from potential ponding.
