The applicant proposes to drill three new oil wells (Ashurst 1-5, Ashurst 1-28, and Ashurst 1-33) in the New Idria Road are in south San Benito County. Ashurst 1-28 would be located on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 028-33-0-005-0 and would be covered under Use Permit 1030-10A. Ashurts 1-33 would be located on APN 028-33-0-008-0 and would be covered under Use Permit 1030-10B. Ashurst 1-5 would be located on APN 029-21-0-029 and would be covered under Use Permit 1030-10C. The applicant has indicated that the project will consist of four stages for each well: a drilling stage (approximately two weeks), a completion stage (approximately one week), a pipeline and production equipment installation phase (approximately one week), and a production phase (indefinite).
