Document Description
The City is proposing acquistion of approximately 3.9 acres through mutual negotiations or other means to a construct a two-acre detention basin. The basin would attenuate the amount and intensity (or peak flow) of stormwater runoff from a large tributary area (approximately 928 acres) of the Buena Vista Creek Watershed. The proposed detention basin is designed to lower peak flows just upstream of the confluence of Buena Vista Creek and BVC-T1 to 1,010cfs, which would significantly reduce flooding in the SPA. Basin development would also include inlet and outlet storm drain RCPs, and the construction of 0.05-acre of wetland.
