Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-RIV-30965-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, KB Homes as represented by Scott Hansen. The Project is limited to the construction of road and culvert enhancements to unnamed tributaries to San Jacinto River, Drainage A, Ditch B, and Ditch C. The Project will consist of residential and recreational areas; 233 single family homes, 11 open space lots, water quality basins, community center, park, and a 12.38-acre lake feature. The manufactured lake is expected to span diagonally across the Project area from the southeast corner of the area to the northwest corner, where the lake system will connect to seven (7) existing box culverts that convey runoff to Menifee Lakes, located west of Southshore Drive. Any future ongoing projects with these culverts such as, but not removing/clearing excessive vegetation, and reconstructing damaged areas will require additional notification to CDFW for Routine Maintenance. Permanent and temporary impacts within Drainage A include: increasing the length of an existing culvert with the addition of a headwall and riprap in the northeast corner (Ditch C), cut-off walls and concrete spillway in the northwest corner, and over-excavation of manufactured slopes along the length of the channel. Road improvements affecting the drainage that runs parallel to Briggs Road will permanently impact Drainage/Ditch B.
