Document Description
The proposed Project includes the construction of a new check structure with two automatic water level and flow control gates within the existing open channel, concrete-lined North Canal. Pump forebays will be incorporated into the structure for the reverse flow of the North Canal system, however pumps would be added in the future. The reinforced concrete check structure would be approximately 80-feet long by 50-feet wide with a walkway to support and provide access to the control gates. The amount of ground disturbance for installation of the check structure is expected to be a maximum of approximately 120-feet wide by 360-feet long and within the existing District owned right-of-way.
