Document Description
The Glen Mor 2 Student Apartments project entails construction and operation of a student housing community on approximately 21 acres of University-owned property in the northeastern portion of the UC Riverside campus. The housing community includes five residential buildings that are each five stories in height and will accommodate a total of 810 student beds, a food emporium, a resident services office, and a community building. Additional aspects of the project include a parking structure for residents (approximately 600 parking spaces), circulation improvements, indoor and outdoor commons facilities, a small conference facility, and restoration of a 0.4 mile stretch of an arroyo that flows along the site's northern boundary. As part of the project the University also approved an amendment to the 2005 UC Riverside Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) to change the land use designation on approximately five acres of the project site from Athletics and Recreation to Family, Apartment Housing and Related Support.
