Document Description
NOTE: Review per lead The City of Seaside is mandated by the California Coastal Act of 1976 to prepare a Local Coastal Program (LCP) for the area of the City that lies within the Coastal Zone boundary. The LCP consists of two major parts: The Land Use Plan (LUP) and the Coastal Implementation Plan (CIP). The LUP designates the kinds, location, and intensity of land and water uses, and presents applicable resource protection and development policies to accomplish the policies of the Coastal Act. The LCP must be adopted by the City, then reviewed and approved (certified) by the California Coastal Commissions). The LCP may be amended in accordance with California Code of Regulations and Public Resources Code.
