The project consists of the construction of a second parallel taxiway at Camarillo Airport. Additionally, portion of existing Taxiway B will be realigned to provide a high-speed exit taxiway from the runway and convert another segment to a right angle. This will involve placement of about 330,000 square feet of new pavement.
The purpose of the Project is to provide a means to eliminate the conflict between inbound and outbound taxing aircraft on existing parallel Taxiway F by providing an alternate route. The proposed second parallel taxiway will also resolve any Taxiway F obstruction issues by allowing aircraft with larger wingspans (Group ARD C/D-III) to traverse from the airfield to the east terminal area without having to utilize parallel Taxiway F.
