Document Description
The purpose of this activity is to fund the installation of seventy-five (75) E85 stations, or Clean Fuel Ponts (CFPs), throughout California that will distribute low carbon, alternative fuels available now and in the future. These stations will be publicly-accessible and built in regions that support high densities of Flex Fuel vehicles. The 75 stations will be selected by the Recipient from a list of 106 potential sites, based on further negotiations with site owners. The objectives of the project are to displace 24,255,000 gallons of petroleum annually and reduce 187,000 metric tons of GHG emissions each year, and also create over 450 direct and indirect jobs and stimulate California's economy. The U.S. Department of Energy is matching the Energy Commision's award with $6,971,200 of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funding.
