Document Description
The Pond 5 Inlet Piping and Dike Repairs project replaces the exisitng Pond 5 Inlet structure, associated transfer piping and repairs the pond dike around the inlet structure. The existing structure is over 40 years old and has deteriorated primarily due to corrosion of metal components. The emergency repair project will include the following taks: 1) removing the 18-inch transfer pipe and existing CMP inlet structure; 2) removing the 15-inch CMP inlet pipe from the CMP manhole into Pond 5; 3) constructing a new concrete inlet structure and sections of 18-inch transfer pipe; 4) installing a new inlet pipe from the inlet structure into the bottom of the pond; and 5) repairing the damaged dike and creating a buttressed dike section at the inlet structure.
