Document Description
The proposed project will construct a new state-of-the-art 120,000 GSF Recreation Center facility for the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI). The facility will include a gymnasium, MAC gymnasium, elevated jogging track, weight/fitness room, rock climbing wall, racquetball courts, recreation pool, sports club spaces, multi-purpose rooms, wellness center, social lounge, juice bar, men's and women's locker rooms, and ASI administrative offices. Sustainable design practices and materials will be incorporated into the project with the intention to meet or exceed Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver or Gold requirements. The project will address circulation, accessible path of travel, adjacent student quad improvements, service areas, service access, and limited special permit parking.
