Document Description
The annual maintenance activities for this long-term Agreement include mechanically restoring a 40-foot wide path of scoured pond from the channel outlet towards the high tide line. The activities include breaching the sandbar, accumulated sand, and debris from the upstream canyon to release tidal water trapped behind the sandbar to avoid order nuisance, ponding, negative impact to beach water quality, and to prevent public health and safety hazards. In addition, the maintenance includes restoring and regrading the sides of the scoured sand area back to the area's pre-storm conditions, and restoring any erosion behind the concrete lined channel's wing walls.
