Document Description
Approval of a construction contract to remove the well vault and cut and cap the well casing associated with MCWD's Beach Intake Well located on Marina State Beach in Marina, CA. The 1996 "Intake Well Agreement and Permit" requires that MCWD keep the top of the intake well vault below the ground surface. The proposed action is needed to address safety concerns related to the well vault being exposed due to ongoing coastal erosion. MCWD has determined that it is no longer feasible to keep the existing vault below the surface.
