This project will remove approximately 10-12 hazardous trees on the west side of the fire station property. These include 2 large gray pines and 8-10 eucalyptus trees. One of the gray pines is leaning at a 45 degree angle over the messhall and presents a serious hazard which needs to be addressed before it crashes into the building. Another leaning gray pine has recently fallen. The trees will be felled either by state employees or contractors using chain saws. The large material will be cut up and used for firewood.
