Document Description
The removal of an abandoned outfall along the shoreline of the Santa Fe Channel portion of the Richmond Inner Harbor. This work is proposed in conjunction with the installation of an extraction trench for remediation of a hydrocarbon sheen that has been observed in bay waters. Petroleum hydrocarbons are migrating through fill around the abandoned storm drain line, so removal of the line and surrounding material will eliminate this preferential pathway of migration to the bay.

Project involves the minor alteration of an existing private structure. The project will result in the removal of an existing outfall structure that is no longer in use, and minor change to the shoreline by placement of rock riprap in the void space where the pipe outfall is removed.
