NOTE: Review per lead / Substitute Environmental Document The "project" under review are the substitute environmental documents which include the Lake Tahoe TMDL and the adoption of amendments to the Basin Plan for the California side of the Tahoe basin. The amendments incorporate the TMDL and its associated implementation plan, designed to achieve 77 to 80 feet of Lake transparency within the first 20 years of implementation; and full restoration of 97 feet of transparency over a period of about 65 years. The amendments also clarify pollutants of concern, replace the 20-year compliance date ending in 2007 with the TMDL implementation plan timeline, eliminate numeric effluent limits for stormwater discharges to infiltration systems, describe stormwater treatment requirements, and eliminate numeric effluent limits for total iron and oil and grease for discharges to surface waters.
