Document Description
NOTE: Reference SCH#2010018175 The ACID Cottonwood Creek siphon, at the location of the project, is a 48-inch diameter concrete pipe which has become exposed with the migration of channel substrate. The structure is operated by ACID, conveying water for agricultural purposes south of Cottonwood Creek. The siphon was originally installed in around 1918, and the creek-bed material covering the pipe has eroded to partially expose the pipe; rebar shows through portions of the concrete section of the siphon such that the structural integrity of the pipe appears to be compromised. Portions of the existing pipe on each side of the section to be replaced will remain buried in their current locations.
