The City is proposing to construct a multimodal transit center. Site improvements would include a two-story, 7,000 sf transit operations building, as well as a 100-space park-n-ride lot with bus service. The operation building would provide space for transit staff, which would include dispatching functions, ticket/pass sales, offices for city and contractor staff, lobby area, break area for drivers and a conference room that will be available for public use. On-street parking would also be permitted. A specific site plan for the proposed project has not yet been finalized. The multimodal station would accommodate bus passenger service provide connections to other forms of transportation, such as car and vanpools, bike and pedestrian travel, and commuter and intercity bus service.
