Document Description
The coastal trail improvements include the construction of an ADA compliant trail in the approximate location of an existing trail and the installation of a new bridge 30 feet upstream from an existing bridge over San Vicente Creek. The trail will be ADA accessible from its entrance off North Lake Street to its entrance near Cypress Avenue. At the beach access site, an ADA trail will be constructed beginning at the trail entrance near Nevada and N. Lake Streets to the overlook at the end of the trail. A retaining wall will be installed along the northwest side of the trail as needed ranging from approximately one to six feet tall. Two overlooks will be constructed. The main overlook will be at the end of the trail where an existing overlook occurs and is approximately 35 feet long and 40 feet wide. A staircase will be rebuilt on the south side of the overlook leading to the beach and a seasonal bridge at the base of the staircase which crosses San Vicente Creek. A second auxiliary overlook will occur approximately halfway down the trail on the side facing the creek.
