- The project is limited to the restoration of approximately 2,000 linear feet of the channelized Colgan Creek to a wider, naturally meandering channel and a wider riparian corridor. The project specifically will: expand the channel width; restore a meandering low-flow channel; create pool habitat with log structures; construct riffles; remove native and non-native vegetation including up to 151 mature trees; install native vegetation within the channel and along the creek banks; install bioengineered bank stabilization features to support the channel configuration; replace up to six storm-drain pipe outfalls and associated protective riprap; and pave the existing gravel path on the western creek bank.
