Document Description
The 2009 Reasonably Available Control Technology State Implementation Plan (2009 RACT SIP) has been developed to meet the requirements of the federal Clean Air Act (CAA) for areas classified as "Moderate" or above non-attainment of the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for the 1997 8-hour ozone. The CAA requires, as part of any State Implementation Plan (SIP) that RACT be demonstrated for sources subject to Control Technique Guideline (CTG) document and for major sources of VOC and NOx that are not subject to a CTG.
