Document Description
The California Department of Fish & Game (F&G) is responsible for the management of The Daughtery Wildlife Area (DWA). The oak woodland-chaparral environment within this area can be highly combustible under certain dry conditions and the risk of wildlife fires is a major concern as visitor use activities continue to increase. There have been seven fires in the last three years along the stretch of road being treated. Conduct general maintenance on the existing DWA firebreaks and re-establish the existing lines separating the DWA from the heavily traveled Marysville Rd, Loma Rica Rd, Dolan Harding Rd, and the entrance to Collins Lake.
