A biological control tenique, called mating disruption, will be used to eradicate the EGVM in Fresno CA, The technique requires the deployment of phenomone-infused "twist tie dispensers" by ground. The dispensers are placed on shrubs, trees and objects such as fence posts in infested areas. The dispensers contain an odorless, synthetic phenomore (sexual attracting) that confuses the male moths, impairing their ability to find mates.
