Re-roof Two Residences
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Replace the severely deteriorated roof on Historic Residence #2 at Ayala Cove and on Duplex Residence at Pt. Blunt on Angel Island State Park. Work will remove all materials to bare decking and install new 1/2" plywood sheathing; install a leak barrier material and replace flashings as needed. Red cedar Class B fire retardant treated shingles will be installed on Historic Residence #2 and State Fire Marshall approved Class A composite shingles on the Duplex Residence.
Project consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity; maintenance and repair of historic resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer, and is included as "reroofing" on the Department of Park and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR 15300.4.
