Document Description
The 189-acre Geyer Quarry Property is a former sand quarry that was purchased in 2008 to safeguard the parcels from development and to restore the site's unique sandhills habitat. An assessment was completed to identify sources of erosion and the likelihood of sources delivering fine sediment to the San Lorenzo River and its tributaries. This was accomplished by completing an inventory of erosion sources, estimating the total volume of sediment that would be eroded from each site if left untreated, and evaluating the likelihood of each site delivering fine sediment to the channel network.
