Document Description
This project involves the light to moderate intensity burning of grass and brush for the purpose of training new seasonal firefighters. Project activity includes establishing perimeter and interior fire control lines utilizing both heavy equipment and/or hand tools to blade to bare mineral soil. Existing seasonal roads will also be utilized for segments of control line. The project encompasses five separate burn units totaling approximately 15.1 acres. Firing of these units will be conducted in a manner that allows firefighter trainees to utilize direct attack wildland firefighting techniques.
