The proposed project is located at Corvina Beach on the northeast shore of the Salton Sea in Riverside County. The Salton Sea is a popular kayaking and canoeing destination and the proposed Corvina Beach boat-in campground is limited to complement the existing boat-in campgrounds at Bombay Beach and Salt Creek Beach to loosely create an informal non-motorized boating trail within the state park.
