Document Description
The primary objective of this Project is to reduce the fuels loading in the wildland-urban interface along Bear Creek and an unnamed tributary, in the Truckee River Hydrologic Unit near Alpine Meadows Ski Area. Over-accumulation of dead and dying vegetative materials within adjacent waterbody and riparian zones, which increase the possibility of a catastrophic fire in these settings has been identified as one of the major risks to public health and safety.
