Document Description
The Department of Parks and Recreation proposes to replace and upgrade the waterlines tanks and valves in Portola Redwoods State Park. The following is a brief summary of the proposed work: Replace 4 redwood storage tanks in 4 locations around the park, Replace the booster pump and shed located next to the roadway by the park entrance, Install ~17,875 linear ft of new water supply and distribution lines through the park to connect the 4 water tanks locations to the water treatment plant while tying into the new booster pump, fire hydrants and to existing distribution lines; Install a telemetry system to control the water level in the system at the water treatment plant, Remove the abandoned water treatment plant equipment and structure and replace ~10 fire hydrants.
