The Engineering Geotechnical Studies Project consists of geotechnical exploration borings, cone penetration tests, and excavation test pits, over water and on land. The collection of soil and groundwater information from geotechnical survey activities will: (1) Identify potential constraints in developing water conveyance alternatives, and (2) support the preparation of environmental documents for the proposed Bay Delta Conservation Plan and preliminary engineering studies for the Delta Habitat Conservation and Conveyance Program.
