Document Description
The proposed Caltrans project would improve safety on the existing alignment of Highway 169 between Weitchpec and Johnsons by widening the roadway and/or installing or repairing guardrail at nine locations. These locations were identified in consultation with the Yurok Tribe, and were selected for substandard roadway width or unsafe roadway alignment. Improvements would be accomplished mainly by cutting into slopes for widening, with walls required at three particularly tight locations.
